Distractions!!

Hey guys!!

My apologies for not blogging last Wednesday. I had every intention to but I got extremely busy. But, I am back this week staying away from the flu and all the nasty germs going around. I heard that this year the flu is up 700%!!! And flu shot may not really help because this flu is a different strand from the flu shot. So that being said, please take care of yourself. WASH YOU HANDS!! sanitize your hands, cough into your elbow, dress warmly, eat your veggies and fruits and stay hydrated!

Let’s talk about distractions for a minute. 2017 was a good year but it was full of distractions. Distractions are things that cause you to lose focus. It could be anything from the news to your mood. When somethings happen, I have learned to ask myself what is this distracting me from? Everyday we have things to accomplish. The big goals we want to achieve start by the little things we do on a daily basis! If I let myself be distracted on a daily basis, it is very safe to say that my desired goal will not come to fruition.

Life makes a lot of emotional withdrawals out of us daily. Once you wake up, there are a million things gunning for your attention. Whatever has your attention will have access to your emotions. This is why a lot of times we are tired. Not because of the physical labor we do, but because of the emotional drain on us. This year, I challenge us all to avoid the distractions. Do not invest emotionally to the news and gossip. Incase you didn’t know, the news has an agenda to show you things and paint a picture in a particular way to evoke an emotion out of you.

This year, let us make sure we are investing more time and effort into our future selves than on social media fights and gossip blogs. We are all living on borrowed time. Our breath has an expiration date and I am not about to waste mine being distracted.
