Good morning! I just got off the phone with my mommy, I was talking to her for over an hour! There is nothing that beats talking to family! Lately, I been overwhelmed with work and projects. So much to do! I started to complain and panic and feel a little disappointed in myself but my mother is a God send. I love having a strong black woman as a role model and mother. She said “yes, I know you have a lot on your plate. Prioritize. Do your best. Work smart and leave the rest.” That gave me life and a desire to blog!
While blogging, I am also cooking some brown rice and shrimp as one of this weeks meals. I have missed blogging! I missed you guys! I didn’t blog last week because I needed to rest! When I get too stressed out I fall sick and I truly don’t want to end up in the hospital. The last time I ended up in the hospital for exhaustion, I was rushed to the ER and spent a night in the hospital. My bill was a whooping $3,200!! Of course, Insurance barely covered anything *rolls eyes* anyway..
You guys I REALLY need your help. The blog is GROWING and I am so excited and thankful for this growth!! But it is now beyond just me. For this blog to continue being helpful and resourceful to a lot of people, I will need you to join me. I can’t do it on my own any longer.
Starting next week I want to share migration stories. I have shared mine with you guys several times. I want to share other people’s stories to help us all. There have been days when I hear someone else’s story and it motivates me to keep going. This blog is OUR blog, we have to encourage one another!
I am asking everyone reading this to please send in their migration story. It doesn’t matter where you migrated to/from: USA, UK, Germany, China, Senegal or South Africa. One thing we all have in common is the change! It also doesn’t matter if you only have lived there for 3 weeks or 33 years. Any period of time is fine! Your move could be for work, school, sports, marriage etc. It doesn’t matter if your lived in a foreign country and moved back home! Make the story as short or as long as you want it to be! This is a judgement free zone, nasty and negative comments will be deleted. If you would prefer, I can keep your identity anonymous. There is no “bad” story. I believe these are just experiences we learn from.
Thank you in advance!
